It was a great way to kick-off the holiday season at the Christmas Light Fest at The Don Strange Ranch! The girls were excited and so were we to enjoy a nice holiday fest as a family. As we entered the ranch we were greeted with two millions lights sparkling across two miles of scenic ranchland. It led us to Santa’s village where all the magic of Christmas traditions happened. Campfire pits with the fire going were outside the village for roasting marshmellows for your s’mores along with a beautiful Christmas tree made of antlers that stood right outside the village barn.
Once you entered the warmth of the lamp heaters was cozy and there the fun began. We got some delicious Kiolbassa on a stick along with some hot cocoa. My daughter couldn’t wait to decorate cookies so she headed over to the station that was filled with a variety of sugar cookie’s in all shapes and all of the icing and decorating sprinkles you can think of. Local craft vendors were posted up with unique gift shopping for all. We met some great people that were so friendly and helpful to our kids.
The highlight of it all of course was the cutest Santa and Elf ready to take photos with your kids. The Elf blew everyone away with his break-dancing and had all the kids smiling from ear to ear. The round tables were adorned with the cutest antler and lamp centerpieces where you can sit with your whole family to enjoy your food and treats. Other food and drink selections were also available including the Don Strange of Texas’ signature Grilled White Wings and Christmas Bacon, as well as a full bar, on weekends. The decorations were so festive and the lights were a twinkling dream as you drove around the ranch!
