San Antonio got splashed with color Sunday Jan. 27, 2012 at the Graffiti Run 5K held at the AT&T Center. They day was filled with a white sky and runners dressed in their white graffiti gear ready to get painted up. San Antonians of all ages gathered to enjoy a 5K for everyone to enjoy and have fun. Upon arrival it was so much fun to see everyone in their crazy attire, custom costumes, colorful tutu’s and silly socks and sunglasses. Everyone received their Graffiti Run t-shirt, dye packs and matching headbands. The music was bumping and everyone was to a fun start. Some were running, walking, dancing, pushing their strollers, carrying their kiddos on their back and others were their as spectators cheering us on with their supportive posters.

Their were Graffiti Zones set up along the route as volunteers dashed you with color and neon dye’s were raining from the sky to shower you with the most colorful fun you will ever experience. It’s like you were a canvas made into a masterpiece! Of course the dye was 100% natural and non-toxic so it was okay to get drenched in dye. As you cross the finish line you are entering the party zone! The post Color Party continued and the DJ pumps up the music, prizes were given, dye was thrown for grabs and the biggest color explosion of your life was counted down for the coolest party you have ever been to! The best part is that proceeds of your registration help local non-profits! You are having the time of your life and donating to great local causes, that is what I call a colorful day in San Antonio!
