Rain or shine the Pearl Farmers Market will go on! Saturdays from 9-1pm at the Pearl along the banks of the San Antonio River the local vendors will be waiting with their wonderful produce. The Pearl makes sure that these vendors are in the area and their products are planted, raised and harvested themselves. The beautiful produce is so colorful and pleasing to the eye and the aroma of fresh coffee smells so good as you walk along the market. The venue is quite beautiful as the market is cozied up between the large modern Pearl structure and the river bank.
The chicken and waffles stand is a must for some yummy breakfast or a delighful pastery from Sol y Luna. Of course the San Antonio Coffee Roasters is the perfect stop for a cup of joe to jump start your morning. The vendors are all so friendly and very passionate about their products. By passionate I mean they tell their story and want you to know the best way to use their products. I bought some cheese from CKC Farms and they made some great pairing recommendations I would not have thought of to make. I got carried away with the wonderful produce and didn’t even know how I was going to make them. I saw these bright orange carrots that looked so different from the ones at the grocery store and I had to have them from the Palmer Farms. Sometimes you want to buy the produce but don’t know exactly what or how you would make them. Well here are some great recipes that include the Pearl’s selection of vegetables.
